DigiKeys AUv3 Sequencer Plugin
DigiKeys AUv3 Sequencer Plugin is a pattern-based MIDI sequencer plugin designed for AUM or other AUv3 compatible host applications. With DigiKeys, you can create looped patterns and chain them together to create songs. Each pattern consists of 16 tracks, one for each MIDI channel, and can be up to 32 steps in length.
One of the key features of DigiKeys is its flexibility. It can be used to drive external MIDI-based AUv3 instruments or the internal sample-based audio engine. It also functions as a 16-channel multi-timbral sound source, allowing you to route MIDI data to 16 internal instruments. This flexibility allows you to experiment with pattern-based song construction using DigiKeys' sound engine and then map to external MIDI-based synth engines as needed.
DigiKeys comes equipped with its own internal synth engine, featuring over 100 custom presets. The app includes a custom MIDI mixer that controls incoming/outgoing MIDI velocity levels, allowing you to control the relative volumes of internal and external MIDI instruments.
In addition, DigiKeys features a sophisticated random pattern generator, capable of generating random velocities, probabilities, note lengths, sub beats, and reverse hits. It can even randomize targeted notes that comply with a chord in the song scale. The latest update introduces a live matrix performance mode, allowing you to mix tracks from different patterns in real time and create scenes to aid your performance.
